Focusing on the emergency management of cultural heritage, this event represents a significant step towards the preservation and promotion of cultural heritage. By bringing together experts and professionals from various fields, the event aims to enhance knowledge, share best practices, and develop collaborative approaches to protect valuable cultural resources in times of crisis.

During the conference, the results of the SOS Heritage project will be presented.

The program

The day will begin with institutional greetings from various prominent figures in the cultural and institutional sectors, who will share their perspectives, experiences, and visions on current cultural topics.

Following this, experiences related to the events in Castel Bolognese and Faenza will be illustrated. University professors, security experts, and specialists in risk management for cultural heritage will speak. The event will also feature an example of innovation in risk management for cultural heritage, the SOS Heritage project.

In the afternoon, a practical exercise will be conducted to save cultural assets affected by emergency situations. The simulation will be coordinated by Eleonora Canobbio, a freelance restorer, with the support of the Civil Protection unit of the city of Lomazzo.
